It can be challenging to balance career, family, hobbies, social networks, AND try to get a workout in. I am in the fitness industry full time and still find it challenging to get my workouts in daily. You have to MAKE TIME TO WORK OUT! Today I had client who had to end her session early. This gave me 30 unexpected minutes in my schedule. I decided to maximize the moment with 20 minutes on the treadmill, pullups, squats, and ab work. Then back to work! You can do this too.
Here are you 3 ways you can make time to work out.
1.Start with 3 days a week Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday Giving yourself 3 days a week sets you up for success. You can use the wednesday workout to literally get you over the hump and stress of the week. Next use saturday and sunday to avoid your main workdays. This will help you to look at your workouts as part of weekend fun instead of part of the work week workload.
2.Try my 20 minute HIT workout My HIT is a quick workout: basic in movements but high in repetition to get you a full body worked in 20 minutes. Best of all you don’t need any equipment so you can do it anytime-anyplace. Jog in place 1 minute High Knees 1 minute Butt Kicks 1 minute Side Squats 1 minute Side Bends 1 minute Wide Stance Squats 1 minute Bicycle 1 minute Squat Thrust 1 minute Walkouts Push Ups 1 minute Applause Abdominal Lifts 1 minute Repeat ALL
3.Carry athletic shoes with you at all times You could stumble upon unexpected downtime at any moment. Someone may be late for a meeting, you may have a cancelled appointment, or the weather may be better than you expected. When you have athletic shoes with you can put them on with ANY attire and take a walk. This walk can be a stroll in the neighborhood, several laps around a parking lot, or you can travel up and down the steps of an office building. Maximize the moment.
